Coronavirus and the Courts

State courts in Maryland are mostly closed, until further notice, for most types of hearings. Some hearings, such as bail reviews and protective order cases are going on, but on a limited basis. Updates may be found at the Court’s website at – https://www.mdcourts.gov/coronavirusinformationforpublic

If you are unsure about the status of a case, please check Casesearch at http://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/ or just send me a text or email. Don’t just show up for court for a case without checking first. You may be wasting your time.

Federal Courts are in a similar situation, with non-emergency cases getting postponed. Updates may be found at the United State’s District Court District of Maryland website at https://www.mdd.uscourts.gov/

The Law Office of Wililam Cooke, LLC, remains open. I will continue to remain available over phone and email. I will also continue to set appointments at the office. If you are not feeling well, please do not set an appointment.

We are living in strange times. But I am confident we will survive and return to some degree of normalcy. I look forward to continuing to fight for my clients in a healthier world.
